Queen Of Peace CEO Receives ACHE Regent's Award
(NEW PRAGUE, MN - October 19, 2009) – Mary Klimp, CEO, Queen of Peace Hospital, received the American College of Healthcare Executives Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent's Award recently at the Minnesota Hospital Association Meeting in Brainerd.
The award was bestowed on Klimp by Lori Wightman, ACHE's Regent for Minnesota and president of New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm, Minnesota. The Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent's Award recognizes ACHE affiliates who are experienced in the field and have significantly contributed toward the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of the goals of ACHE.
Affiliates are evaluated on leadership ability, innovative and creative management, executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community, contributions to the development of others in the healthcare profession, leadership in local, state, or provincial hospital and health association activities, participation in civic/community activities and projects, and participation in ACHE activities and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
Klimp has served as CEO at Queen of Peace Hospital since 2003. Prior to this, she served as CEO at Falls Memorial Hospital, International Falls, Minnesota.
Klimp holds Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence. She is also a member of the Minnesota Hospital Association Board of Directors and the American Hospital Association's Regional Policy Board.
Klimp received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Scholastica and her master's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota.
