Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to be Offered at Queen of Peace

(NEW PRAGUE, MN - December 21, 2009) – Beginning January 6th, Queen of Peace Hospital will offer plastic and reconstructive surgery onsite. Thomas Dressel, MD, consulting plastic surgeon, will be at the hospital the first and third Wednesdays of every month.

Dr. Dressel provides a variety of plastic and reconstructive services including cosmetic procedures such as eyelid surgery, mole removal, and basal cell carcinoma removal; as well as reconstructive surgery such as breast reduction, placement of post-mastectomy expanders, and reconstructive skin cancer surgery.

Dr. Dressel obtained his pre-med degree from Stanford University after five years in the US Army Reserves. He went on to complete his medical school training at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1974. Dr. Dressel interned at Hennepin County Medical Center and finished a residency program in general surgery at the University of Minnesota, after which he completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship in Norfolk, VA.
